KnowledgeWorks Education Future Watch

February 6, 2007

I would like to thank Emilie Ogez who is blogging on HEMISPHERES’ Savoirs en Réseau project for pointing out KnowledgeWorks Map of Future Forces Affecting Education.  It is an extensive resource with a very cool user interface that I have only just begun to go through, but I have already found a number of interesting topics which are relevant to our work at XWiki in general and to the CURRIKI project in particular which is at the intersection of a number of trends such as the Urban Learning Commons or Technologies of Cooperation.

Seth’s Powerpoint Tips

February 5, 2007

I love learning about giving good presentations and I always like what Seth Godin has to say, so I was glad to read his Really Bad Powerpoint post which is a combination of both.  I will try these out on my next presentation (have one coming up on the 13th at Le Préau thanks to Marc Van Coillie of Eife-L.org whom I met at the iLearning Forum Paris last week), especially the cue cards.  I think this is a great idea because it allows you to communicate without worrying about forgetting something, which is one of my problems.
